Granitsa (Greek: Γρανίτσα from the Slavic word for "border") is a village in the Ioannina regional unit in Greece and the municipal unit of Molossoi, it is in the area of Douskara. In 2001 its population was 187, of which only 80 people stay in the village all year. The GR-6 (the old road Volos - Larissa - Ioannina - Igoumenitsa) runs to the north and the new Via Egnatia highway runs to the south.

Granitsa is located 45 km SSW of Ioannina, northwest of Arta, north of Preveza and east of Igoumenitsa.
Much of the area around Granitsa are mountainous and forested the Tyria flows 1.5 km to the east.
After World War II and the Greek Civil War, its buildings were rebuilt. Emigration occurred at a higher rate until 1981 through to 1991, the population has been declining slowly but lost by half between 1991 and 2001. Kastania became connected with asphalt in the 1980s and the 1990s. more pavement was available in recent years. Electricity, radio and automobiles were introduced in the mid-20th century, television in the late-20th century and computer and internet at the turn of the millennium. In the late-1990s, the ex-community (now a municipal district) joined to become the newly formed municipality of Mastorohori.
The main action on a few inhabitants of the village is cotton production. Recently, it had a try for synchronization of the main road, the paving of the road for the entire length from Voutsara to Granitsa from the area of Gla, it located from the Tyria river between the strategic Kourento-Granitsa Bridge in which it tried a different grass on the area.
